

Mission: Sulano exists to create thoughtfully designed products that are rooted in African contexts and empower the people. Sulano aims to act as a platform for for Gambian artists, crafts people and entrepreneurs to showcase their talent and connect to wider audience and market thereby supporting their livelihoods and creating space for economic growth.

Vision: A future where African brands and artists brands define themselves on their own terms, whether it be economically or aesthetically and where everyday objects carry depth, meaning and sense of connection between the users and producers.

Impact: My desired impact is to connect as many African artist in to the global market and thereby do my part in trying to equalize the incredible wealth inequality that exists between the global north and south. On top of this, I also want to foster a greater sense of connection between consumers and producers and redefine western consumer culture to a more slow, intentional and conscious one.
